What is Z-Wave?

Z-Wave is a wireless RF technology that unifies all your home electronics into an integrated netowkr that makes energy management, safety and security and comfort and convenience affordable and easy for busy homeowners.

Key Features of Z-URC family

Powered by Z-wave: We licensed a novel RF technology called Z-Wave® that is specifically target towards residential and light commercial environments. Its home automation control and status reading capabilities compliment Remotec's A/V and home theater expertise. The focus on narrow bandwidth applications helps to save costs and increase efficiency.

RF communication: Z-Wave® operates in the sub-gigahertz range. A direct line of sight does not need to be established and this frequency range avoids interference from common household electronics (i.e. WiFi routers, Bluetooth, cordless phones, etc)

2-way communication: The status reading capabilities allow the controller to get feedback from the slave devices immediately. This added feature can provide confirmation responses or status inquiries.

Mesh network: Each Z-Wave® device is an intelligent node, able to send and receive control commands, that comprises an entire mesh network, a maximum of up to 232 devices. . With each additional device or node, the range of the Z-Wave system is extended. Furthremore, large interferring objects can be easily bypassed with this mesh network.

Scenes and Events: They work individually or in groups. These programmable scenes or events can allow multiple devices to act in conjunction with each other, automatically or manually.

Interoperable: Due to the efforts of the Z-Wave® Alliance, an international consortium, the technology has been standardized to ensure interoperability between all Z-Wave® devices.
